If your medication says to take with food, ask your doctor. There may be very severe consequences of taking medication on an empty stomach.

Humans can go (on average) up to 40 DAYS without food, yet only 3 DAYS without water. After three days of no water and food, your organs will begin to shut down!!! This is NOT a dry fast.

Yes, but be sure to stick to natural, organic flavoring - such as a few drops of fresh squeezed lemon or lime.

Another option is to add a few cucumber slices into your water for a little pop of flavor.

Try to stay away from sugary and artificial flavoring.

We will go for a full 24-hours. If you would like to start earlier or later, that is an option as well.

If you are unable to go 24-hours without food, start with a 12-hour fast.

For example, 7am-7pm. 

Eat a healthy, nutrient-dense breakfast and then fast for 12-hours.

During the fast, you should be focused on God and His Word:

Secular entertainment is satan's most widely used tactic to infiltrate and contaminate your life. Worldly entertainment is an open portal for the enemy to steal, kill and destroy! Keep that portal closed!

Every Believer should be fasting on a regular basis, if physically possible (those with medical issues need a physician's clearance).

Fasting is just as important as prayer. Jesus fasted and he performed miracles! 

Yes! You can fast FOR forgiveness.

Fasting will help you break off unforgiveness, bitterness, self-pity and resentment. 

It's a process, so regular fasting is important. Along with reading your Bible, speaking in tongues, praying, sowing and listening to The Word.

The best thing diabetics should do is to ask their doctor. She/he may be able to share protocols to follow. Although fasting is great to improve health, anyone dealing with ANY disease, illness or medical issue must have medical clearance to participate in fasting.

Yes! ​Regular fasting detoxifies the soul (mind, will and emotions). It clears out all of the trash that the world system throws at us.

Fasting increases your ability to hear from God because your soul becomes more connected to your spirit and less connected to your flesh.

Christians need to detox from all demonic interference (secular movies, music, television shows, etc.) because it is worldly and contaminates the soul.

To ask God for direction on the fast, simply ask and expect an answer. The answer may be instant or later on, but you will receive your answer.

"Ask and ye shall receive, seek and ye shall find, knock and the door will be opened unto you.” - Matthew 7:7

I would recommend you refrain from strenuous cardiovascular workouts and weight training exercises during your fast. 

I also would NOT recommend sauna or hot steam room sessions while fasting.

Gentle movement such as: walking and light stretching, would be fine. Resting and napping is also good.

Sure! But that is not Biblical Fasting. It's great to fast from other things (social media, etc.) and you can modify the fast however you would like. But true Biblical Fasting is refraining from food for a certain amount of time.

Yes. You can tell others you are fasting. The scripture tells us not to announce to brag and to get attention.

“And when you fast, don’t make it obvious, as the hypocrites do, for they try to look miserable and disheveled so people will admire them for their fasting. I tell you the truth, that is the only reward they will ever get." - Matthew 6:16

The Message Translation:

"When you practice some appetite-denying discipline to better concentrate on God, don’t make a production out of it." - Matthew 6:16

Do your best. If you commit to a certain length of time and you break your fast early, that's okay. 

It may take a few attempts at fasting before you complete a full fast.

I did my first 7-DAY water-only fast in 2020. It was during the onset of quarantine!

God commanded me to do it, so I obeyed. I fasted for myself and for everyone connected to my anointing. And it was so rewarding!!!

BUT...I had already done several multi-day fasts (3-day and 4-day) before my 7-day water-only fast. This is something only to be done by 'seasoned fasters' with no medical conditions and direct instruction from God. 

I do not recommend others to do it.

If God tells you directly, then He's instructing you, not me. It's intense!

It's a personal decision how often you fast.

Healthy! Eat nutritious and delicious foods to break your fast.

Think: Smoothie or Protein Shake. Salad, Soup or Veggie Burger. And be sure to pace yourself! Do not rush! 

Stay away from fried foods, sugary foods, meat and dairy. (You should be staying away from those foods anyways).
